The people that enter these are not amateurs and have been training for months in order to have a shot at being great. There is a lot of dedication that is placed into these tournaments and often times they are held in a one day time span. The quarters are reduced to five minutes, making the challenge that much more intense. For many of these people this is more than a game, they act like this is their playoffs and they are heading for the championship.

 

Everywhere you turn you are seeing a tournament that is being held. Many of these are sanctioned by a overall body that allows the winners to advance to the national championship and compete for the right to be called world champion.

 

When it is all said and done, there can only be one true winner, the player that is able to out move and outwit their opponents will be rewarded with the game console and if it is a national event a trip to the next round of playoffs. This is where things become tougher and the stakes are higher. This if you are lucky will lead to a trip to the nationals, and possibly to the world finals. All of this as a result will lead a person if they are success ful to having success in these tournaments and making it to being the world champ.
